My personal PCOS story with a happy ending – Pregnant at last!

I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 16 years old. From the age of 16 – 31 I took the pill (Belara, Cyproderm) which had suppressed the PCOS symptoms very well. When I stopped taking the pill, bleeding stopped for 1 year. Went to the doctor had gained 15 kilos and was diagnosed with insulin resistance. In addition, my hair was thinning and falling out. The doctor prescribed me metformin as a panacea. If it did not work, I should increase the dose. Two years of taking metformin daily, I had the worst stomach problems.

I felt I couldn’t tolerate Metformin and my hormone levels weren’t getting any better despite diet and exercise. My decision was made, Back to the Roots!!! Stop Metformin and find a naturopathic approach. I also started fasting and avoiding sugar. Supporting this, I developed a healing tea for women’s health. This helps balance the hormones during the cycle. If you want to read more about it, check out the article, “Medicinal Plants for Women”. Determined, I went to a new gynecologist and presented her with my naturopathic approach. She accepted my decision and recommended me to take 10 mg of monk pepper. After 1 month I was ovulating regularly and for the first time in my life I felt the activity of the ovaries. I could even feel the pain in the middle.

Fortunately, I trusted my own intuition. Imagine: 6 months later I was pregnant, despite PCOS. PCOS could be defeated naturally without artificial hormones and diabetes medication.

My tip: try to give up sugar and carbohydrates and fast for 16/8 hours. Drink a lot of tea. With the Appel Watch I could track my sports activity. With Apple Health I entered all the information about my current cycle.
