Yoga Retreat at Tapas Yoga India

Agonda Beach At the end of my India trip, I stopped for a 3-day yoga retreat at Tapas Yoga Ashram in Goa. Hard to believe but true, it was amazing to escape from the noisy and constantly stressful big cities and go to the beach in Goa where only yoga ashrams were.

For the first time in two weeks I was able to leave the daily routine behind and take a deep breath. The 13-day trip to India was very exhausting. I wanted to be close to nature, to move, to let go and to relax. Even though it was only 3 days at the yoga retreat in Goa, the time was enough to raise my awareness, recharge and renew my senses.

Why a yoga retreat at Tapas Yoga India – Agonda Beach?

I highly recommend this small yoga school (Tapas Yoga). Every morning I got up before sunrise at 6am. At 7am I meditated and before the sun rose above the clouds I was already in the Downward Looking Dog. That was a wonderful feeling. To start the day so full of energy. My teacher Viray said that each practice should contain some level of difficulty. If the practice is too easy, you will not progress in your own yoga practice. I affirmed his statement and then he pushed me deeper and deeper into the position. Three times a day, yoga was practiced together in the group. However, in the afternoon we had time to relax on the beach and explore the area.
